The primary school teacher handed out a list of famous names to our class – names of late inventors, doctors, scientists etc. We had to prepare a speech on one of these renowned individuals. I chose Florence Nightingale (her birthday today; 1820–1910) because she sounded so clean and tidy, and very kind to sick people.
Following a fantabulous holiday in South Africa… Johannesburg (where I was raised), Drakensberg Mountains (where we spent many holidays), and Cape Town… it’s time to get back into blogging, and some Calvin and Hobbes cartoons will do the trick!
